Pete Cashmore of Mashable reported that my favorite soccer team FC Bayern München is threatening to sue YouTube. As if they don't have enough problems these days having to contend with a terrible fall season and trailing way behind Werder Bremen the front runner of the German Bundesliga (Premier League).
I am awfully sorry to say this but I don't think Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (or is it his PR boss Hörwick?) gets it: YouTube will drive more traffic to the FC Bayern site! Fans posting video clips of certain segments of a game on YouTube only makes the team (and business behind it) more popular. More people would want to go and see the team live (well...once they start playing serious soccer again) and pay for tickets and all kinds of FC Bayern merchandise.
